Andy Viet-Quan Do, Avis Budget Group
“When I started at Avis, I was a rental sales agent. That meant checking people in and out, cleaning cars, processing returns, dealing with customer issues — everything it took to run the store.
At the time, much of our work at that particular location was still manual. When I moved into fleet distribution there, I saw how much more we could achieve if we leveraged the right technology to help us.
That’s when I started exploring Foundry. I clicked through Object Explorer, opened menus, and experimented whenever I had time. I could have stuck to the basics of my role, but instead, I leaned in and even reached out to our engineers for guidance.
A month later, the real-time dashboard I built in Foundry was live on the office TVs at that location. It gave us visibility into shuttle pacing we hadn’t had before.
That dashboard transformed how we worked. Before, keeping up with 150-200 shuttles a day felt like a constant challenge. Afterward, we were handling nearly 100 more — tracked in real-time, without any downtime. With the new dashboard, my colleagues could spot issues as they happened instead of relying on delayed reports.
The impact was clear. Managers saved valuable time while shuttle coordinators could plan proactively instead of reacting. We weren’t just working harder — we were working smarter.
It also changed my own career. When leadership saw the dashboard in action, they invited me to join the engineering team. I’ve gone from manual reporting to building my own AI tools that help people work more efficiently and solve problems in new ways.
That first dashboard is still running today; it’s how that location understands its operations. And just like the platform, I'm still learning and evolving every day, finding new opportunities to improve and challenges to solve.”
